People are always surprised by my beliefs.
“Oh, I don’t celebrate Christmas.” “But that’s Jesus’s birth! Are you not Christian?”
“Sorry, I don’t eat pork.” “Are you Jewish or Muslim?”
And most of you have probably not had to chance to ask me about my beliefs, so you most likely are surprised by these statements.
No, I’m not Jewish or Muslim. I am a Christian.
I believe that Jesus is my Saviour and God, and that he has washed me clean with his blood.
But I don’t eat pork or shellfish, I don’t celebrate Christmas or Easter, and I instead celebrate holidays like Sukkot, Passover, Hanukkah, and Shavuot.
But doesn’t that make you Jewish? Those are Jewish Holidays!
I’m here to explain it all! I’m starting a new non-constant series about what I believe.
what is a non-constant series? basically a post series that won’t be every single week; sometimes I might take a break and post about something unrelated.
I’ll specifically talk about my view on biblical holidays, eating biblically clean, replacement theology, and more.
Are you interested? Even if (and especially if!) our views on Christianity disagree, I would for you to read my posts so we can discuss them!
I hope you’re ready for the ride…
writing etc. is a publication about the life of a writer. subscribe for weekly posts about writing, movies, religion, music, and more. thank you for being here!
Oooo I am very interested to hear what you have to say. Looking forward to your next post ☺️
Excited to read these!
I must say though, I'm surprised that as a Christian you don't celebrate Christ's resurrection...?
